Funeral services for Yvette Cameron, 47, of McLaughlin will be at 1 PM, Friday, December 22, 2023, at the McLaughlin City Auditorium. Burial will be at Elk Horn Congregational Cemetery in Little Eagle under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. A procession will leave the funeral home Tursday at 3 PM to go to Yvette's residence, 5390 5th Ave W, McLaughlin for a prayer service at 6 PM. Yvette passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck.
Yvette Renee Cameron was born on October 24th, 1976, in Fort Yates, ND to Rene and Martha
(Brown) Cameron. She was raised in both McLaughlin, SD and Fort Yates, ND. She attended
McLaughlin Public School. She was a stay-at-home mother to her three sons Jared, Julian, and
Torey, and her daughter Tamira. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend.
Yvette's life was filled with simple joys and cherished moments. She found solace in the
company of her children, taking pleasures in driving around, visiting friends and family, and
creating lasting memories. Her warm presence and genuine love touched the lives of those
around her.
Yvette's nurturing spirit was evident from an early age. She spent cherished moments with her
grandparents Herman and Gladys Cameron, instilling in her a deep appreciation for family
bonds. Her selflessness extended beyond her immediate relatives as she played an instrumental
role in the upbringing of her siblings, nieces, and nephews. Her dedication and love knew no
bounds.
Yvette's departure has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of all who had the privilege of
knowing her. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones will
forever be remembered and treasured.
Yvette is survived by her mother, Martha (Brown) Cameron. Her husband, Raymond Otter Robe.
She is also survived by her two children, Torey and Tamira Cameron, and her cherished
grandchild, Tyrie William. Yvette leaves behind her sisters, Shannon Brown, Jerrica Cameron,
and Jasmine Cameron, as well as her brother, Sinjin Cameron. She was a beloved aunt to her
nieces Tariq Brownotter, Trinity Antelope, Phoenix Crow Ghost, Kenna Bagola, and Carliyah
Thompson. As well as her nephews, Desmond and Tyreese Cameron, Kamron and MJ Antelope,
Trevon and Kayden Bagola, and Karsin Cameron. Yvette also had a special bond with her great
nieces and nephews, ten in total. Also survived by her loving uncles Shannon, John, Jaimie,
Donald, and Todd Cameron & families. As well as her aunts Marie Brown, Rachel Spotted
Horse, Connie, Kelli and Shelly Cameron & families.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rene Cameron Sr., her brothers, Rene Jr. and Carl
Cameron, her sons, Jared Wise Spirit and Julian Spotted Horse, and her daughter, Heaven Estes.
Her paternal grandparents, Herman and Gladys Cameron, and her maternal grandparents, Edwin
Brown Sr., and Mildred White Mountain. Her nephew, William Brownotter Jr., and numerous
aunts and uncles.
