December 4, 1959 – April 17, 2014
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, April 26th, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 200 Church Street, Ft. Yates, ND. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be Friday, from 5PM to 7PM with a Rosary at 7PM.
A reception, hosted by the family, will immediately follow.
Billy was born on December 4, 1959 in Fort Yates, ND to Steven Silk and Pauline Foote (SeeWalker). Billy enjoyed fishing, carpentry, playing his guitar and often collected Native American-inspired recipes. He was known for his jokes and his quick-to-laugh personality. Billy was a very strong believer in his Native ways & traditions and took great pride passing this cultural knowledge onto his daughter. Anyone that knew him recognized just how generous he was and his artistic talents were beyond words.
Billy is survived by his daughter, Danielle Pauline SeeWalker, his two grandsons, Brody & Lochlan SeeWalker-Driesbach, his sister June Szczur, sister and brother-in-law Birdie & Wazi Bushy Top Pine, brother George SeeWalker Jr., 1/2 siblings Loretta Boyer, Ethel Trottier, Marie Silk and James Silk, as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Rose Mary Del Rosa (SeeWalker), Mary Ann Dwarf (SeeWalker), Pauline Silk and his nephew Jason Harrison.
