Mass of Christian Burial for William Beheler, 48, of Ft. Yates will be Friday, December 17, 2010 at 6 PM, CT at the Catholic Church of Assumption in Kenel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. William passed away Monday, December 13, 2010 in Ft. Yates. Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge is in charge of arrangements
Bill was born in Colorado Springs, CO. He attended St. Joseph's Indian School and Crow Creek High School where he graduated in 1981. He married Jolene Marshall and made a home in Kenel, South Dakota. He was blessed with five children, Billi Jo, Joei , Tomi Kay, Stevilyn, and Hank. He attended school at United Tribes Technical College, graduating with a degree in Criminal Justice and later moved back to Fort Yates for the remainder of his life.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1993 and was honorably discharged. Bill's favorite pastime was hunting and fishing, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and caring for his dogs. Bill worked for Putnam Construction, First Dakota Construction and the Standing Rock Housing Authority and ND State Highway.
Bill is survived by his mother, Marie Beheler, Ft. Thompson, SD; brothers, Jerry Fogg, Sioux Falls, SD;, John Beheler, Lower Brule, SD; Katie Beheler, Chamberlain, SD; his children, Billi Jo (Anthony) Gravseth, Bismarck, ND; Joei (Dalton) Sanders, Lander, WY; Tomi Kay Beheler, Fort Yates, ND; Stevilyn (Cody) Beheler, Selfridge, ND; and Hank (Summer) Beheler, Fort Yates, ND and his beloved grandchildren, Hayden, Daeshawn, Baby Joe, Thane, Carter, and Kingsley.
He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Beheler and sister Deb Beheler.
