Wilfred Reinbold, son of James and Margaret Reinbold, was born April 3, 1935 in Trail City, SD.
A mechanical mind from the start, Wilfred's mother often commented that he loved to take things apart. Sometimes they went back together and sometimes not.
Wilfred entered the Army at the age of 20 in 1955. He advanced to the rank of Sergeant when he finished his two year duty in 1957. While serving his country, he wrote a letter to his girlfriend Margaret "Margie" Ann Keller from Trail City and asked her to marry him.

Wilfred and Margie were united in marriage on June 3, 1957 in Trail City.
The newlyweds moved to Isabel where Wilfred worked as a welder for August Schutz. A few months later they moved to Mobridge where Wilfred and August purchased an implement business and called it Mobridge Iron Works. Wilfred sold farm machinery and parts while August continued with a blacksmith shop. Wilfred later became the sole owner and continued running Mobridge Iron Works until 1975 when he started farming full time.

Wilfred's faith in God and the Church were very important to him. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus and served as greeter and usher at St. Joseph's Catholic Church for a number of years, leading many late arriving parishioners to the open pews at the front of the church.

An avid story-teller, Wilfred spent many hours with friends over a cup of coffee. Many former customers relied on his knowledge of repairing and troubleshooting farm machinery as much as they did his sense of humor. Wilfred could fix almost anything. His skill and creativity were often seen in his custom welding repairs and tools that uniquely got the job done.

He loved his wife of 53 years, her wonderful cooking, his children and his grandchildren whom he lovingly referred to as 'the birds'.

Wilfred is survived by his wife Margie, daughters Charlene (Jim) Lepinski, Mari (Stuart) Werner, and Anne (Philip) Aarness; and son Michael Reinbold. Seven grandchildren: Lindsay (Ryan) Earle, Nicole Lepinski, Katelyn Lepinski, Andrew Werner, Anne Werner, Dylan Aarness and Mason Aarness. Sisters: Dorothy (Bernard) Thomas and Delores (Frank) Maxon. Brothers: John Reinbold, Francis (Anna) Reinbold and Jim (Nancy) Reinbold.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Bernadine, Kay, and Marjorie.
