Funeral services for Vivian Joan Bullhead Day, 82, of Fort Yates, ND will be held at 10:00 AM (CT), Monday, February 12, 2024, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Fort Yates with a visitation to begin one-hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Reed Cemetery in Fort Yates under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Vivian passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck, ND.
Vivian Joan Bullhead-Day (Ileca Maza Win) 82, passed away peacefully at Missouri Slope in Bismarck, North Dakota on February 04,2024. Vivian was born on January 11, 1942, in Fort Yates. She is the daughter of Joesph Bullhead and Esther Red Hawk. Vivian's surviving siblings are JoAnn Hogan Luta, Robert, Fern, Kathy, Valarie, & Frank Bullhead.
Vivian received her GED and briefly worked at Prairie Knights Casino as Housekeeper. Vivian was a homemaker, can find her listening to her KLND 89.5 the "Oldies Songs", reading her books, enjoying her coffee & cigarettes, doing puzzles or by the telephone visiting. Vivian always finds herself swaying to her music, was well known dancer. Vivian wanted a big family, so she has 16 children (10 currently living), 49 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren & 1 great-great grandchild.
Vivian briefly lived in Tomah, Wisconsin, with her uncle & aunt, George and Esther Redhawk. Vivian favorite artist was Elvis, a memory when her Uncle George purchased tickets front row only for her. She only paid attention to the audience, laughing at the young girls as they passed out, many swooned over Elvis, she did not pay attention to him.

Vivian was proceeded in death by her parents Joesph Bullhead & Esther Red Hawk, Her brothers Francis Bullhead & Donald Kidder, Her son Martin "Marty' Gipp Sr., Daughters Diane & DeAnn Dogskin, Grandsons: Curtis Ramsey, Kyle & Julius Antelope, Dillion Gipp, Blu Day. Great Grandchildren JreSean & Timber Eagle Horse.
