Obituary

Funeral services for Virginia "Ginny" Cudmore, 81 of Timber Lake will be at 10:30 am MT Thursday, April 14, 2011 at United Parish Church in Timber Lake. Vicar Maribeth Anderson will be officiating. Burial will be on Friday at the Timber Lake Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Ginny passed away Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Mobridge.

Ginny was born in Dupree, SD on September 19, 1929 to Glen and Nora (Lafferty) French. She graduated from Timber Lake High School in 1948.

She married Grover Cudmore of Timber Lake. They ranched south of Timber Lake for several years and in 1969 sold the ranch and moved into town.

Ginny worked for the Greater Missouri and the Community Health Clinic. Being a conscientious minded person, she liked to see progress in the town of Timber Lake. She diligently worked and volunteered at the museum and Historical Society. She did various things for the city to see her goals accomplished.

Ginny is survived by her daughter Shelly (Henry) Miller of Rapid City, SD., son Glen (Kathy) Cudmore of Timber Lake, SD., daughter Candy (Bob) Plourde, Ft. Kent, ME., son Scott (Mary Pat) Cudmore of Cherokee, OK., nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two sisters, Lucille Waggoner, of Minneapolis, MN., Evelyn Parker, of Spearfish, SD., two brothers, Glen French, of Yuma, AZ., Jack French, of Hysham, MT.

Memorial has been established to the Timber Lake Historical Society and the United Parish Church, Compassionate Care Hospice of Mobridge.
