Funeral services for Vicky Oka, age 38, of Moorhead, MN and formerly of Wakpala, will be Dec. 22, 2010 Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at the Wakpala Community Center. Wake will begin Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the center. Burial will be in the St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. Vicky Oka passed away Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010 in Moorhead. Family will meet at the funeral home to follow at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Vicky Terrie Oka was born at Ft. Yates, ND on October 13, 1972 to Alberta LaFramboise & Verdell Oka. Vicky was raised by her paternal grandparents Bernard & Amanda (Little Moon) Oka. She attended Wakpala Public School. Vicky was athletic and played all kinds of sports while attending school. Vicky was very friendly and always joked around with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by them. Vicky lived various places, which included; Minneapolis, MN, Wilmer, MN, and Moorhead, MN.

She is survived by her mother, Alberta LaFramboise of Wakpala, SD, sons, Emree Oka of Bismarck, ND, Shane Oka and Andrew Oka of Wakpala, SD, Travis, Matthew and Xander Viver of Moorehead, MN, daughters, Larissa and Ashlyn Bush of Moorehead, MN, brothers; Michael LaFramboise of Aberdeen, SD, Joseph Shortman of Wakpala, SD sister Jorena LaFramboise, Mary LaFramboise, Sandra Flying Horse, of Wakpala, SD, Denise LaFramboise of Bismarck, ND, Velma LaFramboise, of Aberdeen, Bernadine Oka of Moorehead, MN, Uncles; Eugene and Vincent LaFramboise of Wakpala, SD, Myron Oka and Bernard Oka Wakpala, SD, and special friend, Andy Vivier, Moorehead, MN, grandmothers, Elsie Uses Many and Lavina Three Legs of Wakpala, SD grandfathers, Wallace Little Moon and Andrew Little Moon.
