Funeral services for Travis Crow Ghost of Mandan age 43 will be 4:00 PM Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the Rock Creek School Gym, in Bullhead, SD. Interment will be in the St. John's Episcopal Church Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. Family and friends are asked to meet at Kesling Funeral Home at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, to process to Bullhead. Travis passed away on April 25, 2018 at his home in Mandan, ND.

Travis Lee Crow Ghost was born February 27, 1975, in Bismarck, North Dakota, to Errol and Wekota (Koty) Crow Ghost. Travis grew up in Fort Yates and attended Head-start while living there. His family moved to Dallas, Texas. He attended Hexter Elementary and Hill Junior High School. The family moved to Lawrence, Kansas, where he attended South Junior High School. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1993. Kansas City, Kansas Community College offered him a soccer scholarship where he played for a year. He then attended Haskell Indian Nations University where he received a two year Liberal Arts degree in May of 1999.

Travis attended Bismarck State College and was trained as a power plant technician. He recently worked on the oil rigs as a flow back tester and flagging for First Rate Energy Services.

Travis was an active young man that loved participating in soccer since the age of four. Travis was a three -year soccer letterman while he attended Lawrence High School. He helped initiate the first HINU soccer program. He played in many soccer tournaments in Toronto, Canada, San Antonio, Texas and The Dallas International Cup. He also was involved in football and track during his school age years. He also participated in the Creek Nation Olympics in Okmulgee Oklahoma.

Other interests included being involved in the Dallas Children's Theater. He also took part in Christmas plays. He worked for the Boys and Girls Club at McLaughlin, South Dakota. He loved children and enjoyed bringing snacks to them. He was a GED tutor/Pre-Test Coordinator for Sitting Bull College. Travis enjoyed playing Bingo in Bismarck, North Dakota with his mother. Shadow was his black cat and he thought so much of him. He attended The Dallas Indian Methodist Church. Nirvana was one of his favorite bands. He loved his daughters' Sydney, Trina, Daysha, and Brooklyn. Some of his favorite hobbies was to play music for his girls.

Survived by his mother Koty Crow Ghost, Father Errol Crow Ghost Sr, brothers, Doug and Casey, sister Twyla Crow Ghost, Daughters Sydney, Trina, Daysha and Brooklyn, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his grand-mother, Marie Tecumseh, grand-father Kiutus Tecumseh, grand-mother Adelia Crow Ghost, grand-father James Crow Ghost and Stephanie Sandoviol.
