Tracy A. Vermillion, age 60, passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 at the Sioux Falls Avera McKennan Hospital. No services are planned at this time.

Tracy A. Vermillion was born March 1, 1960 in Pierre, SD, to Annie H. (Frank) Vermillion and Frank E. Vermillion, Sr. She was the youngest of two brothers and two sisters.

She attended school in Ft. Yates, North Dakota. Tracy graduated high school and began her career in law enforcement at the BIA Police Department, Rosebud, SD and also worked security at the Grand River Casino and Resort, Mobridge, SD. She so enjoyed working with the patients especially the Elders at the Ft. Yates Dialysis Unit as a Dialysis Tech. She loved helping others. She also loved movies, crocheting, and reading.

Tracy leaves to mourn one brother and two sisters – Frank, Leslie, and Claudia. She also leaves behind her dog Patches, her protector, who brought her so much joy.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Annie and Frank and one brother, Van.

We thank all the staff at the Mobridge Hospital and the Sioux Falls Avera McKennan Hospital for the excellent care they provided her. We are also thankful for the many friends and prayers.
