Mass of Christian Burial for Tony Voller, 98, of Mobridge will be at 10:30 AM, Thursday, March 8, 2018 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mobridge. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. Visitation will start at 4 PM Wednesday with a Scriptural Wake Service at 5:30 at the funeral home. Tony passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 at the Mobridge Regional Hospital.
Anton "Tony" Voller was born January 20, 1920 in Strasburg, ND to Anton and Ottilia (Reis) Voller. Tony was one of nine children and grew up on a farm east of Strasburg and attended rural school near his home.
Tony was inducted into the United States Army May 20, 1942 and served time as a medic during World War II. Sergeant Voller was honorably discharged in December of 1945.
Tony married Belle (Baca) and to this union two sons were born, Jack and his wife Susan, who live in Mobridge, SD and Mike and his wife Erlene, who live in Atlanta, GA.
Tony and Belle farmed and ranched in the Timber Lake, SD area until retiring and moving to Mobridge South Dakota.
Tony is survived by his sons: Jack and Susan Voller of Mobridge, SD and Mike and Erlene Voller, Atlanta GA, one brother; William and Alvina Voller, of Mobridge, SD one sister-in-law; Violet Voller, grandchildren; LaVonne (Rick) Parsons, Larimore, ND, Justin (Michelle) Voller, Bismarck, ND, Brett (Michele) Anderson, Rapid City, SD, Rod (Cindy) Anderson, Huntsville, AL, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Tony is also survived by a very special friend Elaine Fuhrer and many friends.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Otillia Voller, his wife, Belle (Baca) Voller; sisters, Bertha Voller, Helen Hulm, Margaret Baumgartner, and Hilda Hager, brothers, Arthur, Joseph and Andrew and Elsie Fix, Tony's second wife.
