Funeral services for Tonia Yellow Earrings, 41, of Little Eagle, will be at 1 PM, Monday, August 12, 2019, at the Little Eagle Blue Gym. Burial will be at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge, SD. Visitation will start at 5 PM Sunday with services at 7 PM at the Blue Gym. Tonia passed away, Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, ND.

Tonia Jean Yellow Earrings was born June 28, 1978 in Fort Yates, North Dakota to Gerald and Lucille (Grindstone) Yellow Earrings. She grew up and attended school in Little Eagle, South Dakota.

Tonia spent many years caring for her mother, nieces and nephews in Little Eagle. She loved visiting with her family and friends. She was a great cook and enjoyed listening to music.

She is survived by her eight sisters; Patricia (Donavon) Red Legs of Little Eagle, Jeanell Yellow Earrings of Isabel, Violet (Bernie) Yellow Earrings of Fort Yates, Faye Mutchler of Isabel, Brenda (Robert) Steele of Little Eagle, Delta (Charles) Jamerson of Fort Yates, Claudia Yellow Earrings of Little Eagle, and Virginia Yellow Earrings of McLaughlin, brothers; Ivan Yellow Earrings of Little Eagle, Gerald Yellow Earrings Jr. of Little Eagle, and Brian (Willow) Yellow Earrings of McLaughlin, aunts; Diane (Leon Sr.) Brown Otter of McLaughlin, Mary (Leroy) White of Little Eagle, Geraldine (Frank) Jamerson of Little Eagle, and Fern Has Horns of Little Eagle, uncles; Aaron Grindstone of Little Eagle, Richard Yellow Earrings of Aberdeen, and Sidney Eagle Shield of McLaughlin, grandmother, Mazzie (Vern) Shelton of Little Eagle.

Special nieces; Constance Yellow Earrings, Kelli Yellow Earrings, Tawny Maxon, Paige, Charlee, Gracie Yellow Earrings, Geraledine Yellow Earrings, Justine Grindstone, Maven Mutchler and many other family too numerous to mention.

Tonia was preceded in death by her parents; Lucille and Gerald Yellow Earrings Sr. brothers; Myron Yellow Earrings; Stanley Yellow Earrings; sister; Renne (Sammi) Yellow Earrings; Nieces; Melissa Brown Otter; Mandy Mutchler, nephews; George KW Iron Shield; Keith Grindstone, Chico Red Legs; Jonathan Red Legs and Clyde Weasel. Brother- in-law Wilbur Mutchler, great- great granddaughter Beautiful Bearcub.
