Tim passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018 at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck.

Timothy "Tim" Terrance Leibel was born July 30, 1951, in Mobridge, SD to Aloysius "Jack" and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Keller) Leibel. He grew up on a farm near Glencross, SD and attended grade school there. He graduated from Timber Lake High School in 1969. After graduating, Tim worked on the farm with his father milking cows and planting crops. He was then drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War. He returned to the farm and joined in a partnership with his brother, Jerry, milking cows, farming, and later adding stock cows. During a dry spell, Tim moved to the Black Hills and flew fire patrol for Custer's Forestry Service. He returned to the farm and in 1982 he met Cherie Richter. Tim and Cherie were married at the Holy Cross Catholic Church on August 26, 1983. They moved to a ranch near Glencross, SD where he still resided. He raised cattle, sheep, and farmed. Together they had three children, Tigh, Tanner, and Hayley.

Tim enjoyed farming with his John Deere tractors and combines and tending to the cattle herd with his dog, Rudy. He was an active member of the Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Northern Oahe Cattlemen's Association and Civil Air Patrol. He was also the Trail City Volunteer Fire Department Chief for many years and took pride in being a wildland firefighter. Tim always had time for visiting and a cup of coffee with friends and family.

Tim is survived by his wife Cherie Leibel of Glencross, SD; his son Tigh (Kelly) Leibel of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandpuppies Scout and Hoot; his son Tanner Leibel of Lewiston, ID; his grandpuppy Cinch; his daughter Hayley Leibel of Glencross, SD; his brother Gerald "Jerry" (Dawn) Leibel of Glencross, SD; his brother Jim (Julie) Leibel of Aberdeen, SD; many nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved dog, Rudy.

Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Aloysius "Jack" and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Leibel; father and mother-in-law, Fred and Millie Richter
