Funeral services for Thomas Radabaugh, 92, of Mobridge, SD, will be 10:30 AM Friday, February 6, 2015 at the United Congregational Church with Pastor Keith Kraft officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be Thursday, February 5, 2015 starting at 6:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Kesling Funeral Home. Tom passed away on February 1, 2015, at the Golden Living Care Center of Mobridge, SD.
Thomas Milton Radabaugh was born on June 11, 1922 in Terra Haute, Indiana, to William and Edith (Showalter) Radabaugh. He graduated from Leyden High School in Franklin Park, IL. in 1941. After graduating from high school Tom went on to serve in the U.S. Navy where he was stationed on multiple ships during his nearly three years of service. Tom was honorably discharged on November 6, 1945.
Tom married Dolores Barker on September 25, 1946 in Mina, South Dakota. He went to work as a railroad machinist and later operated the Cherry Creek General Store. In 1961 Tom and Dolores moved to Mobridge where they owned and operated the Arcade Bar and Grill for 16 years. They moved to Texas for 16 years then moved back to Mobridge.
Tom was a member of the Masons and the Shriners. In his free time Tom enjoyed fishing, gardening, and talking with his coffee friends. He was a great cook and cooked for himself and his family. Tom also enjoyed pulling the lever at the casino.
Tom is survived by three sons; Ben (Carol) Radabaugh, Portland, OR, Earl (Deborah) Radabaugh, Rocky Mount, NC, and Mark (Elizabeth) Radabaugh, Seattle, WA; three daughters; Marcia (Ron) Berg, Mobridge, Jeannette (Dan) Juhala, Hershey, PA, and JoAnne O'Bryant, Kilgore, TX; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, three brother in-laws; Darrell (Carla) Barker, Minnesota, Dean (Kathryn) Barker, Bismarck, ND., Hollis (Verla) Barker, Arkansas, and one sister-in-law; Deloris Barker, Bryant, SD.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores in 2005, his parents, and one brother; Dean Radabaugh and one brother-in-law; Robert Barker.
