Theo passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020, at the Mobridge Regional Hospital.

Theo Doris Good House was born December 30, 1937, to Moses Good House and Clementine (Spotted Horse) Good House at Fort Yates, ND. She was raised by her Unci Rebecca Creek up until the age of nine. Upon her grandmothers passing, she returned to live with her parents. Theo attended St. Elizabeth boarding school and completed 9 th Grade.

She met Vernon Iron Cloud and they were married on August 30, 1953 at the St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church by Reverend Sidney Bearsheart. They made their home along Snake Creek west of Mobridge for the next 66 years. To this union eight children were born.

Theo enjoyed beading, embroidery and quilting. She made all of her children a special quilt. She loved taking pictures everywhere she went. She has several trunks full of memories to prove this.

Theo also enjoyed attending pow-wows and always was happy that her and Vernon were invited to special occasions. She was involved in the community and church. Theo was fluent in speaking the Lakota language and believed in the Lakota way of life. She survived boarding school and every now and then shared some of her experiences both good and bad.

Theo had a sense of humor when it came to certain in-laws. She on occasion would tease her brother-in-laws, Andy Grey and Jon Eagle and sometimes Oley Little Eagle and sister-in-law, Sissy Good House. Deep down she had much respect for her in-laws. She had many friends and was known as grandma to many young children.

Theo had many cousins, Bernard LeClair, Beverly Morrison, Bernice Condon, Julie Condon, Delia Creek, Della, Cletus, Tessa and Clayton Creek, Karen Condon, Shorty Condon, Vincent, Eddie and Annabelle LeClair, Delores Curley and Alberta Brown Thunder all from Cherry Creek whom she loved. She had many nieces and nephews whom she loved to visit.

On February 11, 2020, Theo was taken to the hospital by her son-in-law and it was there that she and her doctor informed the family that she was very sick. Theo let her family know that she had lived her life and was ready to make her journey to the spirit world. It was on February 22 at 6:40 that Theo passed away peacefully with her daughter, Verna by her side.

Theo is survived by her husband, Vernon of Wakpala, son, Jasper Iron Cloud of Wakpala, five daughters, Vernetta Logg of Wakpala, Verna (Royce) Gone of Wakpala, Verlinda Iron Cloud of Wakpala, Sharon (Everett) Nelson of Pennock, MN, and Connie Yearsley (Hunka Daughter) of Preston, ID, Grandchildren, Leslie Iron Cloud, Connie Comeau, Larissa Iron Cloud, Joshua Iron Cloud Sr., Kourtenay (Eric) Schley, Francis DuBray, Lynette (Everett) Black Fox, Nettie Blaine, Tara Iron Cloud, Montie Iron Cloud, Bonnie Iron Cloud, Theron Iron Cloud, Tommi Iron Cloud, Gared and Gerard Iron Cloud, Vanessa Fast Horse, Bryan Phillips, Arnold Iron Cloud Jr., Delores Valdovinos, Carrie Coffman, Toni (Darwin) Terres and Erica Nelson, 56 great grandchildren, special nieces and nephews, Myra and Orion Bendickson, Marla Striped Face-Collins, and Velma Takes The Gun, two sisters, Sharon Good House and Marlys (Tim) Swimmer.
