Funeral services for Terry Bear Ribs, 65, of Rock Creek will be at 1 PM, Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Rock Creek. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Terry passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the Mobridge Care Center.

Terry Bear Ribs Mato Chu-Tu-Hu "Bear's Rib" was born on March 30, 1953 in Ft. Yates, ND, to Alfred Bear Ribs and Elaine One Feather.

He lived in Rock Creek most of his life. Terry graduated from McIntosh High School in 1971. He attended college in Ann Arbor, MI and studied Architecture Engineering. He entered into the US Marines in 1972. He was a sun dancer in 1986.

Terry enjoyed arts and crafts and his specialty was dreamcatchers. He performed and set up sweats and sweat lodges in various places and cities. He really loved traveling and visiting all family. He will be greatly missed by all.

Terry is survived by his sons, Terry Jr, Corey, and Paul, daughters, Janita and Tonia, grandchildren, Benito, Lucio, Hector, Chance, Jaden, Aries and Kindle, sister, Evanjean Harrison, brother, Aloysius "Pedro" Bear Ribs, half siblings, Richard, Randy, Andrew, Leah, Carmelita, Althea, and Wendell, nieces Elaine and Crystal, nephews, Roger and Michael, uncle, Matthew Yellow Earrings, grandmother, Alice Mae One Feather, Aunt, Rita Flying Horse and many cousins, nephews, nieces and grandchildren.

Terry is preceded in death by his daughter, Angelic, parents, Alfred and Elaine, aunt, Mary "Baby" Jane One Feather, grandfather, Ambrose Antelope, grandmother, Alma Yellow Earrings, sister, Andrea Brown, grandson, David Moreno, nephew, James Harrison.

Brought-Brown Otter-Village Center Legion Post #82 will escort Terry Bear Ribs from the funeral home to the Catholic Church for the funeral on Wednesday.
