Funeral Services for Tawhnee Sitting Dog, 33, of McLaughlin, SD, are 11AM, Saturday, March 19, 2016, at the McLaughlin Blue Gym. Burial at McIntosh City Cemetery under the direction of the Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge, SD. All-night wake begins at 5PM, with a prayer service at 7PM, Friday, March 18, 2016, at the gym. Tawhnee passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016, at St. Alexius Medical Center of Bismarck, ND.

Tawhnee Jo Devidica was born May 9, 1982, to Robert L. Sitting Dog Sr. and Johnelle Jacobson in Ft. Yates, ND. She was raised in McIntosh, where she went to elementary school. She also went to elementary school in Ft. yates and Lower Brule where she graduated eight grade in 1996. Tawhnee then went to high school in Lower Brule as well as Ft. Yates High School. She received her G.E.D. in 2007 then attended Sitting Bull College.

Tawhnee gave birth to six children, Uriah Shayne Sitting Dog, Ulijah White, Unique White Twin, Brylee White Twin, Joseph White Twin, and Ulyssa Sitting Dog.

Tawhnee was raised by her grandparents since she was 4 years old. While attending McIntosh School she entered the state spelling bee and took first. She was active in basketball.

Tawhnee lived with her mother in Lower Brule in the fall of 1996-1998. She then moved back to McLaughlin where she lived the remainder of her life.

Tawhnee was loved by many. She and many brothers and sisters who she was close to. Some drinking buddies and some she talked with. She married Boyd White Twin.

Tawhnee loved to laugh and joke with everyone she met. Her children were her world. She also loved all her nephews and nieces. She loved to babysit whenever needed. She enjoyed hanging out with all her cousins. Tawhnee loved all sorts of music. She loved going to concerts with her brothers.

Tawhnee will be greatly missed by all those that loved her. Especially all her family.
