Obituary

Funeral services for Tamara Moore, 59 of Ft. Yates will be at 11 AM, Saturday, April 1, 2023 at St Peter's Catholic Church in Ft. Yates. Burial will be at a later date at the church cemetery. All night wake services will be Friday at 7 PM at the AJ Agard Building in Ft. Yates. Tamara passed away Sunday March 26, 2023, at IHS Hospital in Ft. Yates. Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge is in charge of arrangements.

Tamara Marie Moore was born August 7, 1963 to Edward Moore Sr. and Ella Mae Longknife Moore. She was raised in Ft.Yates, ND and Montana.

She was educated at United Tribes Technical College and Sittting Bull College. She worked at United Tribes Technical College, this job gave her the opportunity to work at NHTSA – Dept.of the Transportion in Washington, DC. Tamara worked numerous jobs at Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in Ft.Yates, ND. She was employed by the public school, White Buffalo, and Diamond Z.  She also catered for her family and friends.  She loved her Breakfast burritos business. She also worked at the elderly protection and W.I.C program. She was an entrepreneur,  loved to cook, she had the passion to cook, she loved cooking with her mom Ella Mae Moore.

Tamara loved her children -Patrick, Brandon, Sophia and Kimberly Moore. She took it very hard losing her Daughter Sophia Rose Bearstops. She also loved her grandchildren, Jeremiah Bearstops, Maria Bearstops and Kathy Moore, Dylan Moore, Danite Moore, Kassidy, Kayden, King Treetop, Cheyenne and Brooklyn Bearstops. She loved all her grandchildren, she loved that Bronx and Duke always came to see her, to see how she was doing.

Tamara enjoyed having family and friends around her,  she also loved helping her friends and family.  Whatever she had, she was there. Tamara helped anyone that needed help, she loved Jesus and was saved at the age 10 years old. She also took bible studies with her mother Ella.

Tamara's hobbies were beading, horsemanship, rodeos, she liked going to see her horse, Hardluck. She loved spending time with cook-outs, fishing and greatly enjoyed the summer. Tamara loved making bread for friends and family, she liked to work out, walk, lift weights, Tae-kwan-do, and sparring with her dad. Tamara also loved her music, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Moe Bandy, Midland, Jellyroll, Jon Pardy, were a few of her favorites.

She is survived by children, Patrick, Brandon, Kimberly, brothers;, Edward Moore Jr. (Dawn), Sam Moore (Terry), Ray Sr., Kelly Moore, sisters; Lisa Moore, Anita, Micky (George) Beatty. Tamara had numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren and loved each and every one of them. She is very proud of  "the Beatty girls",. She loves her niece and nephew Bobbie Weddell and Cheyenne Weddell.

She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents; Sam and Mary Moore, maternal grandparents Roy and Rose (One Man) Longknife. Sisters; Rosie Zavala, Audrey and Wayne Healy, Wanona Sully,  Shannon Durpis, Michael Zavala, Rosellea Moore, Samiella Sioux Moore, Ashley Beatty, Shane Abbott , Auntie Marie, Neoma Abbott, Ryan Weddell.
