Funeral services for Suzanne Whiteman, 63, of Rodgers, AR, and formerly of Ft. Yates, ND, will be at 2:30 PM, CT, Saturday, February 9, 2019 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Ft. Yates. Burial will be in the Reed Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will start at 5 PM with services at 7 PM Friday at the church. Suzanne passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019, in Rodgers.
Suzanne Renne Whiteman was born on December 29, 1955 at the Crow Agency, MT to Aaron Whiteman and Lillian Grace Martin. Growing up she lived in Lame Deer, Mt, Little Eagle, Wakpala, and Fort Yates.
She married Renard Red Tomahawk and had two sons out of the marriage, Reynard Red Tomahawk. Jr and Gordon Red Tomahawk.
She married Andrew Yellow Eyes and moved to Lame Deer, MT, she had three kids, Dean Yellow Eyes, Andrew Yellow Eyes Jr. Laura Yellow Eyes. Suzanne also has two daughters, Adrianne Carver of Hot Springs, AR, Sunshyne War Painte of Rapid City.
She loved spending time with family & friends, always smiling & laughing, telling stories. Everyone she met she walked away with a new friend. Her grandchildren were her heart & soul.
Her special granddaughters always held a special place in her heart, my girls she called them, Danelle Dacia and Gentry Renee. Later in life she moved to Hot Springs, AR. Where she me a special friend Ruth Burks. In her later years she moved back to Fort Yates then back down to Arkansas where she passed away.
We will always miss her smile and laughter. Broncos was her team!!
Suzanne is survived by her brother, Emmett Whiteman of Bismarck, brother, Leroy Whiteman of Lame Deer, MT., daughter, Adrianne Carver, Hot Springs, AR, daughter, Sunshyne (Bud) War Painte of Rapid City, sons, Reynard (Tammi) Red Tomahawk, of Fort Yates, Angel Whiteman, of Denver, CO., Andrew Yellow Eyes Jr., Billings, MT, daughter, Laura Yellow Eyes, of Great Falls, MT.
She was preceded in death by, father Aaron Whitman, mother Lilliam Grace Martin, brothers, George, Maurice, Stephen, Stan, sister, Jenny Garreaux , son, Gordon Red Tomahawk
