Suzanne Elizabeth Valandra, 54 Selfridge, North Dakota passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Fort Yates, Indian Health Service. A rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Friday, April 22nd, funeral & burial will be April 23rd at 11:00 am at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Fort Yates, ND with Father Basil Atwell O.S.B Officiating
Suzanne "Susie" Valandra, was born on June 29, 1962 to Gwendolyn (LeCompte) Valandra and Gordon Valandra. Susie worked at Prairie Knights Casino for many years and enjoyed her time there. Susie had an outgoing personality. Her greatest and proudest accomplishment was giving birth to her two boys, Jesse and Marty. Susie was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2014, she battled with this illness up until the time of her death. Susie enjoyed Rodeos and traveling with friends & family.
Susie is survived by one son Marty Gipp and Lyn'd Lawrence; three beautiful granddaughters, Capri Bendickson, Talisha Fredericks & Britley Gipp; two grandsons Toby and Jesse Jr. Aunts Louise Valandra, Doris (Charlie) Soiseth; Uncle Delano LeCompte Sr. Four sisters, Anne Valandra, Renee Vermillion, Gail Valandra, & Patty Valandra (Stan Hertel); two brothers Roger Valandra (Loretta Renville), Obede & Kerrily Valandra.

Susie was proceeded in death by her son Jesse Bendickson; her parents Gwendolyn & Gordon Valandra; three brothers Butch, Calvin, & Bruce Valandra; Uncle Dean LeCompte; nephews Jade Mortenson, Robbie McLaughlin and Alex Livesay; niece Olivia High Elk.
