Funeral services for Stanley Weiss, 75, of Akaska will be at 10:30 AM, Monday, February 7, 2022, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Akaska. Burial will be at the Akaska Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM Sunday at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. Stanley passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at the Walworth County Care Center in Selby.

Stanley William Weiss was born to William and Alma (Eiteneier) Weiss on October 3, 1946 in Mobridge. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church. He grew up on a farm south of Akaska attending Zion Lutheran School and graduating from Selby High School. Farming and ranching was his chosen occupation on the home farm. Stanley was a lifelong member and served in different positions of Zion Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Akaska Fire Department, and also volunteered for many organizations. He enjoyed having family come to visit and showing them different things in the area.

Stanley is survived by his sister, Adeline Creviston, Yankton, two nephews, Ryan (Michelle) Creviston and Paul (Amanda) Creviston. Sioux Falls, great nieces and nephew, Brooke, Dylan, Bella, Sophia, and Bree, all from Sioux Falls, and cousins in Akaska and Eagle Butte.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Alma Weiss, sister, Arlene Schoeneck, brother-in-law, Gary Creviston and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
