All night wake for Skye Belt, 27, of McLaughlin will be 5:00 PM Friday May 11, 2018 at the Founding Mothers Blue Gym in McLaughlin. Interment will be in the St. John's Cemetery in Oglala, SD under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home and Sioux Funeral Home. All night wake will be Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday May 16, 2018 at the Brother Rene Hall. Skye passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at his residence.

Skye Aldon Belt was born on January 13 ^th , 1991, to Carlene White Bull and Ambrose Belt Jr. Skye went to school in Poplar Montana from Head Start through a freshman in high school. He continued his high school education Minot North Dakota while staying with his Auntie Sandy Catudio.

Skye had various jobs in Minot North Dakota before he moved to McLaughlin South Dakota where he worked on cars as a mechanic for his Uncle Pete Flying Horse. Skye had a goal of going to college to become a certified auto mechanic. Skye liked hanging out with family and friends, and always had a smile on his face. He loved his music. Skye never married or had any children but he loved and cared for all his nephews and nieces. Skye was kind hearted and always willing to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. He never asked for anything in return. His Grandpa Doug White Bull gave him a Lakota name WAWO'KIYA (Helper).

He is survived by his brother, Ambrose Oglala, SD. (Yamni) Belt III, sister, Merrilee Belt, McLaughlin, SD. His Father, Ambrose Belt, Oglala, SD, Mother, Carlene White Bull-Cloke, McLaughlin, SD, Grandpa, Doug White Bull, McLaughlin SD.

Preceded in death by his sister, (Moe) Armanda Monique Belt- Boyd, brother's Dennis D. Scott (DJ). Joseph Beau Belt.
