Services for Shaunna have been rescheduled:

Funeral services for Shaunna Rae Marrowbone-Maldacker, 45, of Eagle Butte will be at 10 AM, Saturday , December 13, 2025, at the Eagle Butte Bingo Hall. Burial will be at St. Peter's Episcopal Cemetery in Thunder Butte under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. A procession will meet at the 4-mile junction at 3 PM Friday for a prayer service at 6 PM at the Eagle Butte Bingo Hall. Shaunna passed away December 2, 2025, in Portland, OR.

Shaunna was born on August 10, 1980, to Tyrone Marowbone-Little Hawk and Corrine Blue Coat at Eagle Butte, SD. She spent her childhood at Iron Lightning, SD. Shaunna attended schools at Dupree, McLaughlin, Pierre, SD and attended and graduated from Yorktown High School in NY. She participated in basketball and volleyball. Shaunna enlisted in the US Army. She completed basic training at Fort Jackson, SC in 2006. Her hobbies were reading, arts and crafts, and watching scary movies. She remembered as a child, her "Lala" Grandpa Whitley telling her Lakota stories. She lived at various places including SD, New York, Minnesota and Colorado. Shaunna worked part time at the CRST Veterans Food Pantry in Eagle Butte. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Episcopal Church Soup Kitchen. She was proud of being a descendant of Lakota warrior, Crazy Horse-"Tashunke Witko", "Little Hawk" Tiospaye.
