Visitation for Sharon Dame age 60 of Mobridge will be Friday, May 29, 2020, from 5-8 PM at Kesling Funeral Home.  Private family services will be held. Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge is in charge of arrangements.

Sharon Marie (McGill) Dame was born October 9, 1959 in Beach, ND to James "Jim" McGill and Jane (Thares) Gray. As a child she grew up in Iowa and Mobridge, SD. Attended school in Mobridge and later obtained her GED.

After a long road of health complications, Sharon passed away on Saturday May 23, 2020 at Monument Health in Rapid City, SD.

On February 16, 1980, Sharon married Terry Dame in Mobridge. They lived in Mobridge, Idaho, Watertown and Aberdeen. From this union they had 3 children; Teresa, Justin, and Kristen.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and children as they grew. She attended Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Watertown, SD. Sharon enjoyed teaching Sunday school, playing hand bells, and singing in the choir. She enjoyed latch hook crafting projects and creating items for her family. She was a Girl Scout leader while Teresa was in Girl Scouts.

In 2001, she started a relationship with Randy Meier for 15 years. Randy had 3 children, Dency, Colleen, and Brandy who she loved as her own as well as their children.

Sharon enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, fishing, reading and crafting. She enjoyed cooking large meals for gatherings and teaching others to cook. She enjoyed listening to music and singing. Sharon was strong with her faith and found comfort in the Lord.

Sharon is survived by her children, Teresa (special friend Dave Guggolz) Dame of Mobridge, SD, Justin (Stephanie) Dame of Mobridge, SD, and Kristen (Kahle) Dame of Rapid City, SD. Her grandchildren, AJ, Ella, and Logan all of Mobridge, SD. Her siblings: Jim McGill, Pam McGill, Paul (Shaun) VerDouw, Cheryl (Bill) Wasland, Vince VerDouw, and Steve VerDouw, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by mother Jane Gray, Rose and Seb Thares, and Art and Edith McGill.
