Shana First, 52, of Mobridge passed away, Sunday, January 24, 2020, at Mobridge Regional Hospital. Private family services will be held. Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge is in charge of arrangements.

Shana Nicole First was born on August 31, 1968 in Rosebud, SD, to Jerome First Jr. and Faith Laroche. She graduated from St. Francis High School in 1986. Shana then graduated from Kicking Horse Job Corps with a certificate in office admin. She worked at St. Francis Indian School and Grand River Casino. Shana is an enrolled member of the Fort Peck Sioux Tribe.

Shana is survived by three children, Nicholas, Cara and Kiana, three grandchildren, her parents, three brothers, Kevin Sr., Eldon, and Christopher.

She is preceded in death on her father's side by her grandparents, Jerome Sr. and Nina, uncles, Dean, Reno, Calvin Sr., and Reynold, aunts, Christine, Wanda, and Karen.

She is preceded in death on her mother's side by her grandparents, Clarence Smith and Mary Louise Bordeaux, uncles, William Sr., Lawrence, James Sr., Cleveland Jr., Mark Sr., Gregory Sr., and Kevin, aunts, Diane, Marlene, and Charmaine.
