Funeral services for Sandra Ann Renner age 69 of Pollock will be 10:30 AM Friday, March 20, 2020 at Pollock Lutheran Church in Pollock. Interment will be in the Spring Creek Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will begin 6:00 PM Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the church with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Sandra passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020 at the Linton Hospital in Linton, ND.

Sandra Ann Kruger was born April 16, 1950, at Mobridge to Benhard and Bertha (Weber) Kruger she was the 11 ^th of 12 children.
She graduated from Pollock High School in 1968. She attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, and Black Hills State University in Spearfish where she graduated in 1972 with a degree in elementary education. She later received a Master's degree from Northern State University in Aberdeen.

On December 26, 1970, Sandra married Larry Renner at the Pollock Lutheran Church. To this union 3 children were born, Matthew John, Marshall James, and Melanie Jo. Together they farmed east of Pollock. Sandra taught elementary school at the Pollock school for 36 years and 3 years for the Mobridge Pollock School. They also owned and operated Renner Properties.

Sandra devoted 39 years to teaching children, while Larry had 36 years driving bus. They enjoyed many years of traveling together to see the United States. Together they cared for a beautiful yard and a huge garden and beautiful flowers. Many hours were spent each summer tending to the garden and mowing several yards. Each fall, the apples of six trees were picked and a marathon of making apple pies was held with the help of family and friends. Sandra had a loving heart and her house was always open for a cup of coffee and apple pie that was ready to be baked on the spur of the moment. Her family was the most important thing to her and she had unconditional love for her 6 grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years Larry Renner, children; Matthew (Sarah) Renner, of Mandan, ND, Marshall (Linnaea) Renner of Farmington, MN, Melanie (Travis) Vetsch, of Pollock, grandchildren; Ashlee Regenscheid (Collin), Anna Renner, John Renner, Lila Vetsch, Scarlett Renner and Knox Renner, also survived by lifelong friends Pam Vander Vorst and Kris Teut, siblings; Irene Ryckman, Margaret Salzer, Larry Kruger (Vivian), Rodger Kruger (Vicki), Barb Wessel (Dean), brother and sister in law; Donovan Renner (Maggie), 2 sister-in-law, Delores Kruger, and Nancy Kruger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benhard and Bertha Kruger, brothers; Arthur, Donald (infancy), Bennie, Gary Kruger, sisters; June Borr, Frances Hugmeyer, brother and sister in law; Lawrence Ryckman, Dwain Borr, Irvin Salzer, Greyden Hugmeyer, Kevin Renner, Norma Kruger.

Sandra's life will live on through her donation of tissue and corneas.
