Funeral services for Roxanne Spotted Horse, 43, will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 at the District Building in Little Eagle, SD at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 6:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at the District Building. Interment under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge will take place at Messiah Cemetery, rural Little Eagle. Roxanne died on August 7, 2022 at Monument Health in Rapid City, SD.

Roxanne was born on December 3, 1978 in Bismarck, ND to Blaine and Ernestine (Antelope) Spotted Horse. She graduated from McLaughlin High School. Roxanne worked at Maverick's in Rapid City as well as Perkins Restaurant. She also worked at Grand River Casino and Prairie Knights Casino. She had been married to Roland Brownotter.

Roxanne is survived by her two children, Logan and Connor Brownotter; siblings, Sybil Taken Alive (Stewart) of McLaughlin, Dawn Taken Alive DeMarrias (Victor) of Aberdeen, Arthur Taken Alive Jr of McLaughlin, Bridgette Taken Alive (Clifford) of Little Eagle, Roland Antelope of McLaughlin, Robyn Farrell (Leroy) of McLaughlin, Kenny Spotted Horse (Torylynn) of McLaughlin, Dawn Spotted Horse of Aberdeen, Bruce Spotted Horse; Hunka siblings, Nicole Winans of Fort Yates, Doug Wilkenson (Anetha) of Little Eagle, Greg Weatherspoon (Tammy) of McLaughlin, Toni Eagleman II, and Terry Lee Obago of New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her son, Drake Brownotter; her parents; grandparents; three sisters and two brothers.
