Ross Beranek, 66, of Mobridge passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023, at his home. Memorial services will be held at the UCC Church in Mobridge on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at 5 PM. Inurnment will take place on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 10:30 am MT at Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, SD.

Ross E Beranek was born on January 29, 1957, in McLaughlin, SD, to Ed and Velma (Aman) Beranek. Ross grew up in Mobridge where he attended school until the 10 ^th grade. He then enlisted in the Marine Corps on July 29, 1974. After serving four years he was honorably discharged on August 28, 1978. Following his discharge, Ross moved back to Mobridge and met Connie Miner having two sons and two step daughters.

Ross spent most of his life working on and off for Game, Fish & Parks. Ross loved to cook for everybody on special occasions and holidays. Ross had a lot of friends, way too many to list that were a huge part of his life. Ross truly had a heart of gold. He helped and did everything he could for people.

Ross is survived by one son, Justin (Joni) Miner of Mobridge, three grandchildren, Lily, Kleigh and Haleigh Miner, one great grandchild, Lyla Avery, two step daughters, Roletta Miner of Texas and Sarah Miner of Eagle Butte, one sister, Kandy (Scott) Summers and family, two nieces, Chas Spiry and family and Lindsay Beranek of Mobridge, two special friends, Steph Harrison and family, and Dan Bleyle and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and son, Joseph Ross Beranek.
