Funeral services for Rose Wolf, age 84, of Java will be at 1 PM, Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Selby. Burial will be at the Java Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Rose passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 at the Mobridge Regional Hospital.
Rose Helen Bichler was born on June 26, 1927 to George and Theresa (Holzer) Bichler in the Krassna Area in Emmons County, North Dakota. Rose married Harold Wolf on September 26, 1947 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Strasburg, ND. Harold and Rose lived and farmed on a farm northwest of Java until retiring to Selby in 2004. Rose entered the Selby Good Samaritan Center in October of 2010.
Glad to have shared her life is her husband Harold, of 62 years, son LeLand Wolf of St. Paul, MN, two daughters Deb (Jim) Vander Vorst of Westfield, ND, and Sheila Highland and fiancé Glenn Bryant of Spearfish, six grandchildren, Shannon (Vaughn) Dosko, Krista Highland, Maria Highland, Dustin (Nicole) Vander Vorst, Holly (Brett) Nedens and Colin Highland and seven great grandchildren, and one sister-in-law, Deloris Bichler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers Ben, Jake, Markus and George Bichler, four sisters Margaret Schreiner, Katherine Derzab, Mary Senger and Helen Weisbeck and one granddaughter Amy Wolf.
Casketbearers are Holly Nedens, Marie Highland, Dustin Vander Vorst, and Colin Highland.
Honorary bearers are Lucy Swenson, Esther Goetz, Alvina Affolter, the staff of the Selby Good Samaritan Center and all family and friends.
