Memorial services for Rose Powell age 70 of Selfridge, ND will be 3:30 PM Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Assembly of God Church in Selfridge, ND. Rose passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Mobridge, SD. Arrangements are with Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge.

Rose M. (Johner) Powell was born May 25, 1944 to Pius and Ardice (Krosch) Johner. Rose grew up in Selfridge, ND on the Hayden Bailey farm and went to High School in Selfridge where she graduated.

Rose lived in Bismarck, ND for a few years and moved back to Selfridge, ND in 1978, where she worked different jobs in Selfridge. Rose and Ken owned PV Auto/Volks repair where they bought, sold and repaired cars, they also bought Kens family farm and had a few head of cattle and other livestock.

Rose is survived by Ken Volk, 2 children; Kay Bauer, Danny Bauer, 2 step children Melissa Volk and Jeff (Dee) Volk, 13 grandchildren; David, Dwight, Richard, Tyrell, Danielle, Jerried, Shantel, Kasy, McKinze, Kirby, Levi, Dakota, Taya, 5 great grandchildren, 1 brother Pius (Anita) Johner and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Pius and Ardice, one sister; Shirley, two brothers; Richard and William, 3 grandchildren and special friend Dan Bauer.
