Obituary
Funeral services for Rose Hundstad, 72, of Mobridge, SD, are 11AM, Saturday, August 8, 2015, at the Cornerstone Community Church of Mobridge. Burial will be 3:30PM at the Scandinavian Lutheran Cemetery of Stratford, SD, under the direction of the Kesling Funeral Home. Visitation begins at 4PM, with a prayer service at 7PM, Friday, August 7, 2015, at the Kesling Funeral Chapel of Mobridge. Rose passed away on August 2, 2015, at Mobridge Regional Hospital.
Rose Arlene Darsow was born on December 26, 1942, at Halfmoon, MT, to Fred and Dorothy (Palmer) Darsow. She attended school in Montana.
She was married to Francis Woolridge, to this union two sons were born. She later married Paul Hundstad in Kalispell, MT, from this union 2 daughters and 3 sons were bornwere they lived at the time. They moved to Bath, SD, in 1975, where they lived on the family farm. They later moved to Aberdeen.
Rose was a spiritual person who believed in the Lord. She enjoyed being outdoors and going on walks. She loved being around people, she would talk to anyone who would talk to her. She loved animals, they always had pets. She mostly loved her children and grandchildren, who will miss her dearly.
Paul passed away Oct. 9, 1985, Rose continued to raise her children in Aberdeen.
She met her special friend Merle Schnaidt in 1995, she moved with Merle to Mobridge in 1997, they continued to make Mobridge their home until her death.
Rose is survived by her children, William Woolridge, of Aberdeen, Robert (Linda) Woolridge of Aberdeen, Stacey (Brandy) Hundstad of Cheyenne, WY, Stephanie (Steve) Rowe, of Mobridge, Starla Hundstad of Mobridge and Stanton (Melissa) Hundstad of Aberdeen; stepsons, Jay (Amanda) Hundstad of Superior, NE, Rick (Anna) Hundstad, Broken Bow, NE, Jeff (Colleen) Schaidt of Aberdeen.
sister, Jeanette James of Kalispell, MT; brother, Dale (Terri) Darsow, Kalispell, MT;
special friend, Merle Schnaidt of Mobridge; and 17 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her son, Steven Hundstad; parents, her brother, Doug Darsow; her daughter-in-law, Becky Woolridge; and her granddaughter, Desiree Woolridge, maternal and paternal grandparents.
