Obituary
A visitation for Rosa Lillian Whitesell, 56, of Billings, MT, will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2015. Burial will take place following the visitation at the Guggolz Family Cemetery of Little Eagle, SD, under the direction of the Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge, SD. Rosa passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015, at the Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, CO.
Rosa was born on March 26, 1959, in Rapid City, SD, to Arthur Moran and Stella Whitesell. She spent her childhood in Little Eagle and attended McLaughlin Public School. She married Eugene Hairy Chin and to this union was born Charles Paul.
In 1982 she moved to Billings where she lived as a homemaker. In 1997 she met Patrick Justice and to this union was born Patrick Justice Jr.
Rosa loved spending time with her friends and was a committed and actively involved member of the LDS Church. Mostly she was known as a very family oriented person and her children meant everything to her.
She is survived by her children, Charles "Chuck" Hairy Chin of Helena, MT, and P.J. Justice of Billings; her mother, Stella Guggolz of Little Eagle; her special friend, Joseph O'Brien of Billings; her nine grandchildren; her siblings, Leslie Confer of McLaughlin, Lynette (Charles) Winslow of Wichita, KS, Jade Whitesell of Crow Agency, MT, Katie Hourahan of South Amboy, NJ, Lakota Guggolz of Little Eagle, Paul (Jamie) Guggolz of Little Eagle, David (Theresa) Guggolz of Little Eagle, John (Michelle) Guggolz of McLaughlin, and Wayne Looking Back of Wakpala, SD; Shelley (Gary) Alkrie, of Fort Yates, Ardys Cook, of Glad Valley, Bill Jandreau of Eagle Butte, her special aunt, Rosalynn (Andy) Sandland; Aunts Carmen (Jerry) Chase, Verna Moran, Uncles; Rodrick (JoBeth) Moran, Stanley (Tynie) Moran, Ed (Emmline) Moran and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Moran; sister, Patty Moran her grandfather, Charles Whitesell; her grandmother, Rachel Little Dog; her uncles, Sidney Whitesell, Cecil Whitesell, Phillip Farrell, and Frank Whitesell; her step-father, Paul Guggolz Sr.; brother-in-law, Lenny Cook, her aunt, Josephine Whitesell; and her husband, Eugene Hairy Chin.
Casket Bearers: Paul Guggolz Jr, David Guggolz, John Guggolz, Wayne Looking Back, P.J. Justice, Charles Hairy Chin, Wade Sandland, and Wayne Sandland.
