Ronald J. Goben, 70, of Mobridge passed away, Thursday, March 23, 2023, at his home in Mobridge.  Funeral arrangements are pending with Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge.

Ronald Jay Goben, 70, of Mobridge passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2023.

Ron Goben was born April 22, 1952 to Roy and Irene Goben in Mobridge, SD. In 1974, Ron married Carolyn Wood and had three children. Ron liked going fishing, dancing, fixing sewing machines and enjoyed hanging out with friends. Ron was a hard working man, if he was not at his full-time job, he was doing side work.

Ron was a loving and caring man who would help anyone who crossed his path and needed help.  Dad touched many lives and was the first to bring people in and help them as he could. Dad's generosity did not go unnoticed, and we want to thank the anonymous donor that assisted with the funeral costs of Ron. Ron had a great personality, loved telling stories and making people laugh. He was an all-around silly guy.

Ron is survived by his three children; Roy Goben of Rapid City, SD, Autumn Goben of Thornton, CO and Brandi Knox of Thornton, CO. Ron is also survived by his brothers and sisters; Sheryl Goben, Cynthia (Hal) Stroot, Dale Goben, Robert (Jan) Goben, Gloria (Bob) Vaughn, Mercy (Michael) Bandy, Melanie (Rick) Campbell, Ann Campbell. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews as well as grandchildren and great-grand children.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
