IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronald
Bierman
November 12, 1931 – November 22, 2024
Funeral services for Ronald Bierman, 93, of Isabel will be at 11 AM, MT, Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Isabel Community Center. Burial will be at Hillview Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Ronald passed away Friday, November 22, 2024, at Five Counties Nursing Home in Lemmon.
Ronald Wayne Bierman was born on November 12th, 1931, on the homestead filed by Fred Bierman over 100 years ago, which continued to be his home his entire life. Ronald along with his sisters and mother ran the operation after their father was crippled by arthritis. Ronald attended rural schools in Isabel, Elmgrove and Bloom School, where he was taught by his sisters. Growing up, Ronald always enjoyed the ranch life to the fullest with his cattle, sheep and horses. Ronald also enjoyed times with his best friends Clifford Anderson and Blaine Dragest. They often found themselves always busy with some project.
On June 24th, 1954, Ronald married Evelyn Anderson and built the house they live in today. To this union, three children were born: Gene, Bart and Sue.
Ronald was a perfectionist, and he could build or design just about anything! In his later years, he became a competitive and avid gardener, often letting everyone know that his cucumbers always outgrew Evelyn's. Ronald had an incredible memory and could recall detailed moments from throughout his life and if he had a listening ear he would take advantage.
Ronald enjoyed doing business with Fort Pierre and Faith Livestock. He is forever grateful to Oliver Jewett for believing in him. Ronald also loved horses- whether it was driving his team, breaking a horse or just riding. Evelyn often wondered if horses weren't his first love.
Ronald devoted his life to the Lord and was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church. Ronald also served on many boards at different times in his life. He was a County Commissioner for 20+ years, on the Civil Defense Board, a Black Hills County Commissioner and on the War Hawk Civil Defense.
Ronald will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his ability to never meet a stranger and for how much he loved life!
Thankful for being a part of his life is Evelyn, his loving wife of 70 years, sons Gene (Becky) Bierman, Bart (Lavon) Bierman, daughter Sue (Dan) Kokesh; Grandchildren: Rory Bierman, Lisa (Robert) Martin, Samantha (Blake) Hunter, Serena (Ty) Lorenz, Natalie (Shawn) Hayes and 14 Great-Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, Viola, Leora, Neoma, Paula, 1 brother, Robert and 1 grandson, Bruce.
