Mass of Christian Burial for Ronald (Punchy) Chase Alone Sr. age 75 of Fort Yates, ND, will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Catholic Church of Assumption in Kenel. Interment will be in the Chase Alone Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, June 18, 2018 at 5:00 PM with a Scripture wake service will be Monday, June 18, 2018 at 7:00 PM at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Fort Yates, ND. Ronald passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck.

Ronald "Punchy" Francis Chase Alone, Sr. was born on August 24, 1942 to George and Rebecca (Red Horse) Chase Alone in Fort Yates, North Dakota. Punchy grew up in Kenel, South Dakota.

Punchy married Jeanette Left Hand on September 16, 1966.   During their 51 years of marriage, they had five children, Cowboy, Wesley, Lisa, Billie Jo, and Ronnette, 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. In 1973, they moved to Fort Yates, North Dakota. He worked at numerous jobs including, construction, firefighting, B.I.A. maintenance, Sitting Bull College, and he retired from I.H.S.

In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball for the Kenel Jets, softball, basketball, football, riding and breaking horses. Punchy always enjoyed working on cars, fishing, hunting, camping, traveling by car, bowling, visiting friends and family, watching the Chicago Cubs, Price is Right and old western movies. He attended church almost every Sunday, if not he watched it on TV. As he got older, he found joy in going to the casinos, sitting outside in the warm weather, cooking breakfast, going to rodeos and making his famous bean soup and chili.

Punchy will be deeply missed by his wife Jeanette; two daughters: Billie Jo and Ronni; adopted son, Bernard Cadotte; two granddaughters Ciara and Trinity Chase Alone; two grandsons Evan (Tia) Thompson and Lukus (Tyra) Chase Alone; seven great-grandchildren: Briauna, Trevyn, Mason and Hendrix Thompson, Aria and Ashton Chase Alone, and Rajon Weddell; Godchild Merri Brownotter; one sister Donna (Ron) Martel; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Punchy was preceded in death by his parents George and Rebecca; two sons Cowboy and Wesley; daughter Lisa; brother Anthony; and aunts, uncles and many relatives and friends.
