Mass of Christian Burial for Rocky James Archambault AKA "Ol Padre" KLND Radio Announcer age 58 of Mobridge will be at 11 AM CT, Saturday, March 24, 2018 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bullhead. Burial will be at the church cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Rocky passed away March 19, 2018 at his home.
Rocky James Archambault son of the late Leroy Archambault and Joyce (Village Center) Rush was born in Bullhead on April 28, 1959.
He attended school in Bullhead, SD, United Tribes (Elementary) Bismarck, ND and Fort Yates, ND where he met and married Connie. He worked at Prairie Knights Casino and made a career out of being a DJ known as "Ol' Padre" at KLND Little Eagle, SD 89.5. Rocky also taught himself how to play the guitar.
Together he and Connie had 6 children, Autumn, Royce, Tanya, Katheryne, Jesse, Chantilly and Draigh.
Rocky took great enjoyment in helping raise his granddaughter, Tayiah.
Rocky is survived by his children, Autumn Archambault of Bismarck, Royce Archambault of Bismarck, Tanya Archambault (C.L.) of Fargo, Katheryne Archambault (Loren), Jesse Archambault (Tabitha) of Fort Yates, ND, and Chantilly Archambault (Elton) of Mobridge, his siblings, Barbara Archambault of Selfridge, ND, Kaye Archambault of Bismarck, ND, Phoebe Archambault of Fort Yates, ND, Pamela Archambault of Mobridge, Lloyd Archambault of Fort Yates, ND, and William "Billy" Archambault of Fort Yates, ND, grandchildren, Tayiah R. Black Bear, Tanian K. Black Bear, Nahimana Draigh Archambault, Braidyn L. Archambault, Arie'Yauna R. Archambault, Azarijah S. Archambault, Lovenia K. Hunts Along, Khalia J. Hunts Along, Kinzlee Hunts Along, Je'Saia Archambault, Cody American Horse II, Christopher American Horse, Kingston American Horse and great grandchild, Kaisyn Marie Kleinsasser.
He is preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Archambault, mother, Joyce Rush, and brothers, Michael Archambault and Ira Archambault, and many cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents to name.
