Mass of Christian Burial for Robert A. Rousseau, age 80 of Richfield, MN will be 10:00AM MT Monday, January 12, 2015 at All Saints Catholic Church in Eagle Butte. Visitation will be Sunday, January 11, 2015 starting at 3:00 PM with a Rosary at 5:00 PM at the church. Robert passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at his home in Richfield, MN. Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge is in charge of arrangements.

Bob was born in Eagle Butte to Louis and Agnes (Oakes) Rousseau. He graduated from Eagle Butte High School in 1952 and went on to serve honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict.

On April 7, 1959, Bob married Penelope (Penny) Dupris. Both Bob and Penny were retired career employees of the U.S. Government, Bureau of Indian Affairs. Their combined employment with the government totaled more than 60 years and took them to multiple cities including Eagle Butte, Denver, CO, Mt. Edgecumbe, AK, and Minneapolis, MN, where they retired.

Bob was a devoted husband, an exceptional father, and a dedicated federal employee. He was easy to know, slow to anger, if ever, and very difficult not to like.

Bob embraced not only his children, but his nieces, nephews and friends. You will be sorely missed, God bless you Bob and God speed.

Bob is survived by his sister, Hazel; his son, Arlen; his granddaughter, Victoria; his great-granddaughters, Leila, Tashee, and Queen Victoria; and his dog, Andee.
