Obituary
Memorial services for Robert "Bob" Rohda, age 64, of Mobridge will be at 10:00 AM Friday, March 30, 2012 at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. Military honors will be provided by Parker - Browder American Legion Post #4 of Mobridge. Robert passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Mobridge Regional Hospital.
Robert "Bob" Rohda was born September 14, 1947 in Stillwater, MN to Earl and Katherine (Parkhill) Rohda. He entered the United States Army on November 7, 1966 and was honorably discharged on November 6, 1968. Robert farmed for most of his life in Wisconsin raising hogs and had his own painting business.
He moved to Sheridan, WY in 2001 to open a Amish Furniture Store in Buffalo, WY, where he ran the store for several years. Robert married Dorothy McCurdy in July 2005 in Sheridan, WY. He worked for the Sheridan VAMC as a Social Service officer, retiring in 2009. Robert was an avid Green Bay Packer's fan.
Robert is survived by his wife Dorothy of Mobridge, SD two sons Dylan Rohda of Rosemount, MN and Peter Mortel of Missoula, MT, daughter Elizabeth Lukas of VA, sister Elaine Carlson of Stillwater, MN, and his faithful dog Tripod.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Harvey.
