Robert passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016, at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, ND.

Robert "Robb" Christopher Lawrence age 40, passed into the spirit world on January 9 2016 from the Sanford Hospital in Bismarck ND.
Robb was born at St Mary's Hospital on February 11 1975 in Pierre SD. He was the third child, second son of Francine (Archambault) Lawrence and Robert "Bob" Theodore Lawrence III.

Robb was a very bright child, who loved to learn. He impressed his teachers, who wanted advanced placement for him, and yet were able to keep him with his peers. He loved playing D and D, and participated in junior bowling and baseball leagues with his dad as team coach throughout his life. At a young age he was also very good at playing pool (billiards), and at the age of 15, he and his teammates, including his dad, won the State B pool tournament, which qualified them to compete in a National tournament in Las Vegas NV where they placed.

Robb was quick to learn anything that interested him, and quick to make friends. He had a unique sense of humor.

Music was a big part of his life. From the ages 16-22, he and his friends Reed Ulvestad, Kris Erickson, and Jim Gerdes, created a band called Tastes Like Chicken, later to be called Myriad. He continued his love of playing music throughout his life.

Robb began his career working at Pizza Hut, and Pizza Ranch, where he met more lifelong friends.

He stayed in Pierre for some years after graduating in 1993. He then lived in Colorado with friends. He also lived in Eagle Butte with his mom and brother Lorne, and worked at Lakota Thrifty Mart, before he moved to McLaughlin with his mom in 2002. He was also employed at the U.S. Postal Service.

Robb loved cats and would care for many throughout his years in McLaughlin.

He was a proud tribal member of the Standing Rock Lakota Nation. He also cared for his friends and family, and spent time with them when he could, by visiting in person or on the phone, and going various places to sing karaoke and play pool; two things which he dearly loved and was very good at.

He was preceded in death by his dad Bob, his grandparents Robert Jr and Alma (Black Fox) Lawrence, his favorite auntie Mary Helen Erhardt, and uncles Art, Lynn and Frank Lawrence.

He is survived by his mom Francine, his brother Lorne (Leah), sister Lisa (Jim), his nephews James Northrup IV, Raymond Greyhair IV and Caleb Lawrence, nieces Jaelisa Northrup and Ruby Lawrence, uncle Paul, and many friends and relatives whom he loved and who loved him immensely.

He will be laid to rest next to his dad Bob in Pierre.
