Funeral services for Robert "Bob" Knudson, 84, of Mobridge will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 10:30 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mobridge. Interment under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home will take place at Norway Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Glenham, SD. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 am at the church. Military honors will be by Parker-Browder American Legion Post 4 of Mobridge. Bob died on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the Walworth County Care Center.

Robert Warren Knudson "Bob" was born April 25, 1937 in Mobridge, SD to Loyd and Leona (Falde) Knudson.  He was the oldest of four children.  He graduated from McLaughlin High School in 1955 and attended SDSU for one year and graduated from Black Hills National School of Business in Rapid City.  He was drafted into the Army and honorably discharged.  On February 8, 1962 he married Katherine Imberi and to this union three children were born Boyd, Mark, and Kim.

Bob worked in insurance, owned McLaughlin Lumber, was a carpenter, farmer/rancher, landlord, built Super 8 motels throughout the United States, and ran Homestead Building Supplies for 13 years.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.  He enjoyed traveling with his Sister Joy and Brother Gary and sister in law Karen.  They went on over 20 trips touring the west coast, southern states and throughout the Midwest.  While traveling they enjoyed shopping at various antique shops.  He also enjoyed collecting coins, antiques, watching and playing golf, daily walks, and playing cards but his greatest joy was in carpentry work and remodeling and finishing projects.  He enjoyed going to the senior center for meals, playing cards with friends and visiting.  He entered the Walworth County Care Center in June of 2019.  He enjoyed the activities and friends he made while there.

Bob is survived by Katherine, Boyd, Mark of Mobridge, Kim (Kent) Schneider of McLaughlin, Brother Gary (Karen) Rhinelander WI, and Sister In-Law Mary Ann of Mobridge, sister Joy of Agar, grandchildren Erika (Hank), Kara (Cody), Kayla (Walker), Jayde (Jenna), Ben (Krista), and great grandchildren Henry, Hailey, Lawson, and Hudson.

He was preceded in death by his parents Loyd and Leona, Brother Tom, daughter in law Patricia, niece Kristen, and brother in law Wayne Wittler.
