Robert passed away om January 19, 2023 at the Hennepin County Medical Center.
Robert was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to his parents Robert Sr. and Kathy Gervais. He grew up on the south side of Minneapolis where he made many lifelong friends, he remained living in the home he grew up in when he was a child until he passed away. Robert attended South High School.
Robert was a friendly and charismatic man, always smiling. He looked forward to spending time with his daughter, Brandy Gervais, and his grandchildren. He also spent a lot of time with his nephew, Jessen Gervais.
One of the things he enjoyed doing was riding his motorcycle, he would make trips to visit his daughter in ND, Michigan, and SD on his motorcycle. He looked forward to the summers so he could spend time with is daughter.
Some of the things Robert loved to do were watch football and baseball. He also enjoyed playing pool, bowling, softball, and baseball. He would go fishing during the summer and ice fishing in the winter and camping when he could.
He worked all his adult life in manual labor. He worked many odd jobs, and helped many people when he could. He helped his brother Emery raise his nephew Jessen Gervais and took care of his mother till he passed away.
He leaves behind his loving daughter, Brandy Gervais (Aberdeen, SD), grandchildren, Devika Red Bear, Rayla Brown, grandson, Ethan Brown (Aberdeen, SD), and a son (Fargo, ND), mother, Kathy Gervais (Minneapolis, MN,) brother, Emery Gervais (Minneapolis, MN), favorite nephew, Jessen Gervais (Minneapolis, MN) and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Gervais Sr., (Bob) and a brother, Timothy Gervais.
Funeral service will be on July 28, 2023, at The Bay Campground (campsite 30) at 5:30 pm. Across the bridge from Mobridge, SD. There will be a cookout at this time. Burial will be at the Trail City Cemetery in Trail City, SD, on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at 10:00 am – noon. He will be laid to rest at his daughter Brandy's mothers' side of the family plot.
