Robert Allan (Bob) Christman son of Rhieny and Kate (Gossman) Christman was born July 14, 1964 in Mobridge, SD. Bob was one of six brothers and five sisters.

Bob was his "own person" and "marched to the beat of his own drum." He was often "plugged into" his own music, listening to the Twins, Broncos or his political oracle Rush Limbaugh while walking or riding his bike. His opinions were among his most prized possessions and he "owned them." If Bob was your friend, he was there for life.He was an avid reader, and often had a book on special order through A.H. Brown Library. He was a movie and music buff and food critic. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards and rock and roll concert posters. He was the King of trivia.

Upon graduating from Mobridge High School in 1982 he followed in the footsteps of his Dad and brothers, Mike and "Bean" when he enlisted in the Army. He was stationed at Fort Knox and Fort Riley and served in Korea on the DMZ. His service record was recognized by receiving several achievement medals as well as being rated expert with the M-16 rifle and hand grenade.

Following the military, Bob attended Northern State University in Aberdeen for one year and worked at Control Data. He also worked at Mott's Aerial Spraying in Mobridge. Bob then shared his culinary skills working as a cook in Aberdeen, Spokane, on a fishing boat off of Alaska, Mahto, at Rick's Café, the Mobridge Care Center and the Windjammer. Bob started working in the dietary department at Mobridge Regional Hospital in 2000 where he continued his employment until the time of his death. He was dedicated to his responsibilities and enjoyed preparing meals for the patients, Prairie Sunset Village tenants and the staff.

He is survived by his brothers, Rick and Steve of Mobridge, Jeff (Marlene) of Pollock, and sisters, Ginger (Bob Webb) Christman of Spokane, WA., Diane Christman of Mobridge, Mary Leuning and Connie Larsen of Owatonna, MN., and Nancy (Tim) Hepper of Wing, ND., sister-in-law Judy Christman of Maryville, TN., 14 nieces and nephews and 4 great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Mike and David (Bean) and nephew Randy Larsen.

The Lord keeps watch over his children and comforts those who are waitng for that eternal embrace with him.
