Memorial services for Richard "Dick" Stover, age 76, of Mobridge will be at 1 PM, Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. Inurnment will be at Selby Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. A memorial visitation will be from 2 to 7 PM Friday at the funeral home. Richard passed away, Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Mobridge.

Richard "Dick" Stover was born on November 23, 1934 to Harold and Agnes (Winters) Stover. He spent his growing up years in Los Angeles, CA and graduated from there. As an adult he worked in a steel warehouse until he moved to South Dakota. He then started working at Mardians Trading Post until it was closed. He loved hunting and fishing and for a short time had a fishing guide service.

After the trading post closed he worked for Bill Hoven's Lumber Yard. When the lumber yard was sold he went to work at the Mobridge Beverly Care Center where he remained for 15 years until he retired. Shortly after his retirement he was diagnosed with 2 types of Leukemia. He fought a long battle but passed away on Oct. 16th just 5 weeks and 2 days before his 77th birthday.

He is survived by his wife, Karen of Mobridge, her two children, Robin Heeren of Sioux Falls and Steven Lovelady of San Antonio, TX, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
