Graveside services for Richard Bonner, 84, of Mobridge will be at 10 AM, Thursday April, 13, 2017 at Greenwood Cemetery in Mobridge. Military Honors will be provided by Parker Browder American Legion Post #4. Richard passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at his home in Mobridge. Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge is in charge of arrangements.

Richard Blythe Bonner was born on May 29, 1932 in Hammond, IN, to Basil and Bertha (Thompson) Bonner. He entered into the US Navy on June 21, 1950 and was honorably discharged on April 16, 1954. Richard met Philomene Shoots Enemy in Indiana and they were married in 1972. Following their marriage, they made their home in Hebron, IN. Eventually they moved to rural Little Eagle, SD, to be closer to Philomene's family. After moving Richard did heavy construction work. Five years later they moved to Mobridge where he has since resided. Richard always had a love for animals especially his dogs.

Richard is survived by his brother, Perry (Mary) Bonner of Hobert, IN, and a sister, Ruth Koeppen of Yellsville, AR.

He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Philomene in 2007, brothers, Harry and Gene, and brother-in-law, Jim Koeppen.
