A time of sharing for Randy Slavik, 63, of Selby will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge followed by a lunch at the American Legion at noon.

Randy Slavik, 63, of Selby, was born October 3, 1960, at Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin to Thomas & Charlene Slavik. Randy passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024, near Akaska, South Dakota.

Randy graduated from the University of Madison in 1986. He worked at the Wausau Country Club from 1988 until he retired in 2020.

In October of 2020 Randy relocated to the Selby area.

Randy worked for Schilling Farms Inc. and was an integral part of the day-to-day operations from October 2020 until the time of his death. He particularly loved harvest time and driving the grain cart.

In 2021 Randy became partners with Shannon Goldade in managing the American Legion Post 4 in Mobridge, South Dakota.

Randy was an avid fisherman on Lake Michigan and Lake Oahe for many years with his friends.  He loved pheasant and goose hunting, as well as fishing in the Walworth County area. Randy enjoyed playing guitar and played in multiple bands in his younger years.

He is survived by his family and friends in Wisconsin, the American Legion family, his close friends from South Dakota and his beloved dog, Finn.
