Randall Paul Wertz, 79, of New Evarts passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024. Arrangements are pending with Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge.

Randy passed away at home with his wife by his side. Randy's wishes were to be cremated with no services. His ashes will be spread at a later date.

Randy was born November 15, 1944, to Virg and Julie (Burgard) Wertz in Aberdeen where he attended school, graduating in 1963. He then served in the Air Force from 1963 to 1967 where he was Crew Chief on a C-130. He was very proud of the service.

Randy was a Master Electrician for over 50 years. He loved his hunting and fishing, especially his mule deer in velvet which he shot with his crossbow along with his proud angler walleye.

Randy married Kathleen (Rieger) on May 9, 1969.

He is survived by his wife Kathy, son Travis (Jennifer), son Thor (Heather), sister Lynda Egan and granddaughter Kayla.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents Virg and Julie Wertz.
