Obituary
Funeral services for Randall "Randy" Rueb, age 53, of Herreid will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the Herreid Community Center. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will start at 5 PM Tuesday with a prayer service at 7 PM at the Assembly of God Church in Herreid. Randy passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012 in rural Herreid.
Randall (Randy) Lee Rueb was born on June 11, 1958 to Delbert and Lydia (Kerher) Rueb in Mobridge, SD. Randy attended Herreid High School graduating in 1976. After graduation he custom combined with his Grandpa and Dad for a couple of years. In 1978 he went to work for Herreid Concrete until 2000. In 2001 he purchased a manure hauling business which he was operating at the time of his death.
He enjoyed traveling, hunting, and riding motorcycle with friends. He also cherished the time he could spend with and spoil his nieces and nephews.
Randy spent several winters doing mission work in Arizona. He was very instrumental in helping in Hillcrest butchering for many years. He attended the Assembly of God Church and as a teenager had accepted the Lord and was baptized.
Randy is survived by his parents; Delbert & Lydia Rueb of Herreid, siblings; Dean (Norma) Rueb of Buffalo, WY, Dale (Colleen) Rueb of Herreid, SD, Mary (Dwayne) Goodale of Watervliet, MI, Rollin (Charlotte) Rueb of Herreid, SD and Paul (Bonnie) Rueb of Selby, SD and ten nephews and six nieces.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Carl and Lydia Rueb, maternal grandparents; Gottlieb and Christine Kerher and one sister, Patricia in 1954.
Casketbearers are Dustin Rueb, Jesse Rueb, Keith Fjeldheim, Dick Volzke, Willis Van Heukelom, Stan Bauer, Terry Bauer, Rick Delzer an Clinton Kost.
Honorary Bearers are Larry Fjeldheim, Steve Engel, Jake Kirschman, Heath Bermel and Randy's nieces and nephews; Shannon Rueb, Haley Rueb, Debbie Wherry, Brian Wherry, Kobe Wherry, Jared Wherry, Mindi Rueb, Rachel Rueb, Eric Rueb, Tabitha Goodale, Elianna Spires, Joshua Goodale, Krystahl Goodale, Jayden Goodale, James Rueb, Timothy Rueb, Steven Rueb, Kari Rueb.
