Funeral services for Ralph White, age 59, of Little Eagle will be 1:00 PM, Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Elk Horn Church in Little Eagle, SD. Visitation will be Thursday starting at 5:00 pm with the Prayer Service at 7:00 pm. Burial will be in the Elk Horn Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. Mr. White passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011 at his home in Little Eagle.

Ralph White was born on October 23, 1951 to Victor and Vera Grace (Frazier) White in Fort Yates, North Dakota. Ralph starting working while in High School and after graduating we worked with several tribal jobs, working H.I.P. security, and Standing Rock Housing laying tile. He was a janitor for Little Eagle Day School but due to his failing health he retired. He was on dialysis until 1996 and also had a transplant. It lasted 7 years and then had to return back to dialysis.

Ralph is survived by his wife Phyllis, one son Gregory, one step-son; Corey Flying Bye, Sr. and one daughter Joy. Also surviving are the three grandchildren they raised; Corey Flying Bye, Jr and Arita, Ray Lynn Windy Boy, grandchildren; Danita, Dorian, Demetra, Danica White, Torey and Miles Flying Bye. Five brothers; Howard and Robert of Oglala, SD and Leroy (Mary) White of Little Eagle, SD. and Lyle ( Lisa) White of Little Eagle, Kenny and wife of Fort Yates, ND, six sisters; Linda Sweet and Margaret Daniels of Sioux Falls, SD, Cindy Count of Dunseith, ND, Jo Marie, Pricilla White of Mitchell and Natalie White Lighting of Fort Yates, ND. and nieces and nephews.
