Funeral services for Raelene Traversie, age 38, of Eagle Butte will be at 11 AM, CT, Monday, April 29, 2013 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Whitehorse. Burial will be at the church cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. An all night wake will start at 7 PM Sunday at the church. Raelene made her journey to the spirit world on Sunday, April 21, 2013 in Bismarck, ND.

Raelene Mae Traversie was born on May 18, 1974 to Virginia (Donald Metcalf) and Sheldon (Eleanor) Miner in Eagle Butte. Raelene was currently working at CRST Property and Supply. She enjoyed her job and made a lot of friends. Rae loved watching basketball games and was a major Braves fan. Rae was a happy go lucky, upbeat woman and loved playing jokes on her coworkers and enjoyed laughing. She was a blessing and touched many lives. We will cherish the memories and have comfort remembering her smile and humor. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Raelene is survived by her children, Jessica Traversie, Jessalynn, Jessie Jr., Jesstr Cook, Kaylynn Holy Bear, grandson, Jamuari James Cook, her mother Virginia (Donald Metcalf), father, Sheldon (Eleanor) Miner, two sisters, Michelle (Tom) Fischer and Shannon (Jack) Heideman, Grandmother, Dorothy Miner, nieces and nephews, Thomas Jr., Jacey and Dalton Fischer, Bryant, Ashton and Ian Heideman and numerous cousins, family and friends.

Raelene was preceded in death by her grandparents, Isaac Traversie, Josephine Traversie, William Miner Jr. and Maxine Swan, uncles and aunts, Bruce Miner, Boyd and Connie Hutto Miner, Francine Kennedy and cousin Donnie Swan.
