Ty entered the spirit world October 20, 2011. Ty was born to Calvin Kraft and Hope Thompson on September 2, 1991 in Mobridge, South Dakota. His doctor was golfing and Ty was ready to see the world so his dad, Calvin delivered him. Calvin married Tanya Left Hand when Ty was a toddler. Tanya helped Calvin raise Ty from the age of 10 months. Tanya then adopted Ty when he was 4 years old. Calvin then married Mary Baer on February 15, 2003. She has been in Ty's life ever since.
Ty attended school in Mobridge until the 4th grade. He moved to Timber Lake where he attended school until his sophomore year. Ty then moved to Kyle, South Dakota where he graduated high school in May 2010.
On April 9, 2009, the joy of his life came into this world. When Reese La'Roy was born, it was the happiest day of his life. Ty loved his son more than anything in the whole world. All he wanted to do was be with Reese, and be the best father possible. He was a wonderful father.
Ty had an adventurous spirit and spent his life riding bulls and being a cowboy. In his younger years, his dad hauled him and all his rodeo friends all over the country in a 1971 Winnebego that broke down about every 50 miles, which made it one hell of a ride. Ty then went on to win the National Finals at the Little Britches Rodeo in bull riding, and was 3rd in the World, July 2006. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and chillin' with his friends and family. Ty was employed with Kraft Construction, and was a member of the Family Fellowship Church. Ty always had a smile on his face, something positive to say, with a laugh that was contagious. He was hardly ever home because he was chasing the sun and livin' the dream. Ty was such an extraordinary young man, his smile could light up a room. Ty had a way of making you feel good about yourself when you were in his presence . He was a caring, loving, and giving person, he gave so much in his life and continues to give even in his death. Because of the organs that were donated, recipients will now see the beauty in life, and be able to touch others with a heart full of love. Because of this others will have the capability of being the rankest bull rider like Ty. He was loved by all and will be missed dearly.
