Graveside services for Protus LaFramboise Jr., 54, of Wakpala will be at 9:30 AM, Monday, July 13, 2020 at St. Bede's Catholic Cemetery in Wakpala. Visitation will be from 8-9 AM Monday at Kesling Funeral Home. Protus passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020, in Mobridge. Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge is in charge of arrangements.

Protus Charles LaFramboise , was born on September 27, 1965 in Ft. Yates, North Dakota to Protus and Minnie (Left Hand) LaFromboise.

In 1981, he attended Clearfield Job Corps, Utah. He majored in Mechanics. He was accompanied by his relatives, Toby Left Hand, Harold James Diserly and Gene LaFromboise. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He also loved playing pool and horseshoes. Protus helped Tyrus Cadotte ranching for a number of years. He later went to work for Jeff Cadotte ranching. He loved the ranch life and being in the country.
